Epiphany Talk

 

On Wednesday, 18th May, SLYC has organised an informative evening with Bill Hampson, Director of the Epiphany Trust, who has kindly agreed to give a presentation that will explore the various projects of the charity with a special emphasis on their work in Romania. Although, this talk will be primarily for those who will be travelling out to Romania in July, we look forward to everyone's attendance at this event for, as you know, the humanitarian aspects of SLYC's work are just as important as the musical ones. Please bring along family and friends as Bill is keen for anyone with an interest in Epiphany's work to have an opportunity to learn more. This event will take place at Renfield St. Stephen's during our normal rehearsal time, 7p.m. - 9p.m. with refreshments provided directly after the talk.

 

Ceildh Fundraiser

 

We are pleased to announce that we raised a fabulous £371 at our fundraising Ceildh. Thank you to everyone who attended this event - a great time was had by all! Also, a big thank you to the parents who provided such wonderful food and raffle prizes on the night. Needless to say, we are now trying to work out when we can hold our next one!

 

End of Term Concert

 

As the main focus of our attention has to be on our preparations for our Romanian trip, we have opted for an informal concert for family and friends at the end of this term. This will take place at Renfield St. Stephen's on Wednesday 29th June at 7p.m. and once again, refreshments will be provided after the concert.

 

Please note that we will also be starting our preparations for our Autumn concerts during this term. We have been asked to perform in St. Andrew's Cathedral in September (date to be confirmed) and also in the Paisley Choral Festival in October (date & venue to be confirmed).

For the sake of convenience, we have decided to put all information concerning the choir's activities, including rehearsal and performing schedules, onto our website. This will ensure that every chorister - and even a few parents(!) - can check out important arrangements and details. However, we are still happy to take calls and respond to emails when necessary.
