Spirit of Life Youth Choir (SLYC) is a friendly, welcoming choir committed to reaching out to people in need throughout the world.
- If you enjoy making music in a highly creative and positive environment, and would like the opportunity for some top quality individual singing tuition, then SLYC is for you.
- If you want to perform challenging and high profile works, then SLYC is for you.
- If you care about children in need such as orphans in Romania and want to make a real difference to their lives, then SLYC is for you.
On winning the Open Ensemble Class at the Glasgow Music Festival, SLYC’s performance was described as “Atmospheric and poetic”, "Wonderfully poised" and "Highly impressive".
We are currently recruiting male and female singers aged between 12 – 21.
Too young for SLYC?
Spirit of Life Youth Choir is currently recruiting young singers aged between 8 –11 to form a new Junior Choir – Spirit of Life Junior Choir (SLJC).
If you have always wanted to sing in a choir but have never had the chance, then SLJC is for you.
If you want to have fun, make friends whilst making great music, then SLJC is for you.
If you want to sing and make the lives of people in need better, then SLJC is for you.

Rehearsals take place at:
Renfield St. Stephen's Centre,
260 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4JP
Senior Choir:
7pm - 9pm on Wednesdays and
10am - 12 noon on Saturdays
Junior Choir:
10am - 12 noon on Saturdays (no Wednesday rehearsal)
