Dr. Archie Ewing
Dr Archie Ewing has been Organist & Choirmaster at Corstorphine Old Parish Church in Edinburgh since 2001. His career as an organist dates back to 1959, at St. Andrew’s Church, Alloa. He went on to serve as organist and choirmaster at West Parish Church, Alloa, from 1965 to 2001. He studied organ at Dunblane Cathedral, with the late James Fleming Lamb FRCO LRAM, gaining the LTCL (organ) and LLCM (piano) diplomas. He later gained a B.Mus (Hons), M.Mus and a Doctorate in Music (with distinction), followed by a Fellowship from the Central School of Religion (Faculty of Church Music), in London. He is an experienced teacher and accompanist, devoting much of his time to organ playing, composition, musicology and music analysis.

I'm glad that I discovered the Spirit of Life Youth Choir through their concert in September 2009. The whole team are enthusiastic and dedicated to their purpose of fund raising for charities by way of concerts; they also show ability to perform extremely well a wide genre of music, including premiere pieces.
